The establishment of the technical group will further strengthen the research on wireless technology for intelligent connected vehicles, promote the research and verification of relevant testing instruments, testing systems, and testing solutions, improve the testing level of intelligent connected vehicle product research and manufacturing, promote the modernization and intelligence of the intelligent connected vehicle industry chain, and better meet the needs of the development and commercial landing of the intelligent connected vehicle industry.

Previously, Wang Zhiqin, the leader of the IMT-2020 (5G) Promotion Group and Vice President of the China Academy of Information and Communications, stated that in car wireless technology integrates multiple aspects such as automotive, communication, and wireless technology, making it a highly integrated and professional comprehensive field. He hoped that the work of the technical group could be deep and practical, achieving coordination within the group and interaction outside the group.
